Chef Will

This is another one of those pictures I debate about posting, because I’m afraid CPS is going to show up at my door on Monday.  It’s just – Will is obsessed with being a chef.  He wants to be a pancake chef, like in the book Curious George Makes Pancakes.  He wants to make play doh pancakes, and moon sand pancakes and paper pancakes, and coaster pancakes . . . and this morning we got really brave.  With lots of help and close supervision, Will made real pancakes – every step of the process – on his own.  He wore the paper chef hat we made him yesterday, and the kid-sized apron sweet Miss Marie made for Margaret (and Will immediately stole), and his makeshift oven mits, and that kid made some pretty good pancakes for himself and his Mama.

If you look real hard, you can see Sam in the bouncy seat on the counter.  Poor kid – he spends a lot of time in that seat.

And just in case you’re wondering – Will does have a back up plan, should the whole chef thing fall through.  He has decided he would also like to be a delivery man.  We have to keep a stack of cardboard boxes in his room lately so he can practice delivering packages to whomever is home at the time.  He has a cool hat for that, too.
