4 month well-check
Thursday, November 12th, 2009So Sam checks out as completely healthy and perfect. But we already knew that! Our
chunky little guy weighs 15 lbs, 11 oz, which puts him in the 65 %ile. His height is at 25 inches – that’s in the 68 %ile.
I am so proud when I can tell the pediatrician that Sam can put himself to sleep in his own bed – but I did get a little finger wag from the doctor because I’m not giving Sammy enough “tummy time”. Oh well. You win some, you lose some.
Right now we are struggling to get Sam to take a bottle. Will’s surgery is coming up FAST, and Sam has to be comfortable taking his bottle. Otherwise, he is going to be a very, very hungry baby for two days! But I think I may have hit the jackpot with a new bottle that has a funky nipple for breastfed babies. I also had a brainstorm that the reason Sam is sleeping LESS at night because he may be ready for rice cereal. Originally I wanted to hold off on solids for another month, but now I might be changing my mind a bit – especially since he has gone from one night time feeding to two.
The rest of us are doing pretty well – staying healthy & enjoying the absolutely beautiful autumn that has hit Texas.
